DAMIEN ROBITAILLE

Damien who hails from Lafontaine, Ontario, clicked with his stunning first album entitled “L’homme qui me rassemble”.  After nearly 200 performances on his first tour of Québec, Canada and Europe, he launched his second groovy album entitled, “Homme autonome” in September 2009.
His unique style incorporating the full energy of a Dédé Fortin or the grandeur of a Jean Leloup makes his performances charming and engaging.  This artist is everything but predictable. Accompanied by three mucical gentelemen: François Richard on keyboard, Alexis Martin , drums and Guillaume Chartrain bass they will get you clapping and dancing to rhythms of funk, rocksteady, pop and soul with a little hot and chic retro of the 70’s.  Impossible not to like Damien Robitaille.

MADAME MOUSTACHE

Madame Moustache, As wild and free as the hay growing out of the cracks in the cement, that’s Madame Moustache.  The group’s first album “Au nom du countr(i)” was nominated for l’ADISQ in 2008.  This happy group of troubadours have been spreading their music since 2006 with sounds of country, rock, blues or garage.

Worthy of note are the distinctive harmonies of Geneviève Néron (bass) and Julie Ross (guitar), the frenetic guitars of Guillaume Duscheneau and the energies of the drummer Ugo Di Vito.  The result is a highly entertaining humorous and energy packed show to charm the public

Chuck Labelle

Jean-Guy Chuck Labelle

Jean-Guy Albert Labelle, was born March 18th, 1954 in Mattawa, a village east of North Bay, Ontario.  The origin of his nickname¨Chuck¨ remains a mystery . The Labelles, four boys and two girls, are a musical family and have always worked at keeping melody the key to their art. Marie-Laure, Chuck’s mother, always encouraged this talent because she also had a great love for music and had a good musical talent.  Their father Gérald tolerated the “noise” from the drums and electric guitars even after a long day’s work because he too recognized the joy that music brought to his family.   During his youth, Chuck moved seventeen times because of the nature of his father’s work. The family finally settled in Azilda near Sudbury Ontario.  It’s where Chuck met his girlfriend, his life partner, his beloved wife Hélène.

Chuck describes his music style as New Country. He believes that everyone, at one time or another is touched by a personal story that could be told in a song.   New country is often referred to as the white man’s blues.  Since 1992, his works include three albums signed Chuck Labelle, three Christmas albums, one English album, seven albums Radio-Chaud, two Christmas albums with elementary  school children and two albums “Écris-moi une chanson s.v.p., 162 recordings in all.  Chuck is well known to franco-Ontarians but his fans base extends across Canada.
